Their biggest fan (Michael Jackson, people!) may have gone, but Editors would have made Jacko proud of late.

Because they have recently thrown their support (via donated signed paraphernalia sold through Oxfam) behind a campaign to help the people of Haiti, who are still picking through the aftermath of the massive earthquake that devastated the country and killed thousands.

This month, though, their attention turns to their imminent live dates, which bring them to Manchester on Tuesday and showcase their dark electro-disco of a third album, In This Light and On This Evening.

More interesting still, though, is their choice of supports – the hotly tipped Cold Cave and The Strange Death Of Liberal England.

Definitely reason enough to leave the pub early.
