Half-term fun at Salford Quays

It’s a question some parents dread: just how do you keep the children entertained on a rainy day during the half-term holidays?

Well, fear not as the family can take a step back in time or a step out of this world.

Over at the Lowry Outlet Mall, meet Dr Who characters, learn to moonwalk or make your own helium space ship with different activities taking place every day from February 13 to 21.

At the Imperial War Museum North, meet a front-line soldier character from the First World War and take part in Go Large!, a celebration of the museum’s large objects and find out the stories behind the artefacts.

What’s more, the family fun is free at both locations.
