The weird world of Whitby comes to Central Library
Paul Magrs will be launching his new novel featuring the mysterious ladies of Whitby, Brenda and Effie, at Manchester Central Library on Thursday 10 December.
The Bride of Frankenstien comes to the North East coast in Hells Belles!, the brand new instalment in series, in which the intrepid OAPs must protect their seaside haven from the ghouls of hell, the entrance to which is rather inconveniently situated up the road in Whitby Abbey.
'Alan Bennett meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer' in this charming follow-up to Never The Bride, Something Borrowed and Conjugal Rites.
This event is presented in partnership between The Manchester Writing School at MMU, Manchester Central Library and Headline.
Magrs has a strong penchant for the supernatural, and began writing for the Doctor Who novel series in 1998. He also illustrates his own books, writes audio plays and teaches Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Paul Magrs will appear at Manchester Central Library at 6.30pm on Thursday 10 December. This event is free and there is no need to book.
