High School Musical 2 comes to the Opera House

SCHOOL'S out at the Opera House next week as TV’s Search For Troy winner Liam Doyle stars in High School Musical 2 – Live On Stage!

Based, as many harried parents will know, on the phenomenally successful Disney Channel film High School Musical 2, this live version features all the favourite songs including What Time Is It?, You Are The Music In Me and Fabulous as well as a live band and, of course, lots of dancing.

Liam beat hundreds of hopefuls in the competition earlier this year. As an 18-year-old A-level student and part-time barman he decided on a career in performing arts following an injury which left him unable to carry on with a promising future in football.

Appearing alongside Liam at the Opera House is TV favourite Ian Reddington, who played Vernon Tomlin in Coronation Street. Ian takes the role of country club manager Mr Fulton, with other members of the principal cast including Nikki Mae as Gabriella Montez, Matt Kennedy as Ryan Evans and Lauren Hall as Sharpay Evans.

High School Musical 2 is at the Opera House from November 23 to 28, 2009.
