Da Vinci – The Genius opens at MOSI (Museum of Science & Industry) in Manchester on Saturday November 14, 2009 to show the artist’s work like you’ve never seen it before.

Walk around a 360-degree replica of Mona Lisa, see the most accurate representations of Da Vinci’s renaissance artwork and pore over his fascinating codices written in the artist’s mysterious handwriting.

With more than 200 items on display, this is the most comprehensive and inspiring exhibition about the man who is arguably the greatest genius the world has ever seen.

New revelations

Not only can you find out more about the life and times of Leonardo Da Vinci, but you can view 3D animations of his best-known work as well as learn the secrets behind the Mona Lisa.

French scientific engineer and examiner of fine art, Pascal Cotte was granted unprecedented access by the French government and the Louvre Museum to conduct an extensive scientific evaluation of this masterpiece using a self invented 240-million pixel camera.

Pascal was granted exclusive access to the painting, taking it out of its frame and away from the protective glass enclosure. An extremely rare opportunity and privilege.

Results of his findings have startled the world, discovering 25 new revelations which are on display in the exhibition.
