Gay wedding magazine set for launch

COUPLES planning to get hitched are invited to celebrate the launch of a new, paid-for gay wedding magazine for Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside on October 1.

The 200-page magazine, aptly-titled Tickled Pink, will go on sale shortly afterwards at all Borders stores throughout the north west.

Editor Sue Briggs-Harris, who tied the knot herself three years ago, is hoping couples will attend the launch at Via in Canal Street, Manchester, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

"This is a very exciting day for us, but more importantly, we feel, for gay couples who have been completely ignored by the mainstream wedding magazine publishers," she said.

"So many people have helped to make this happen and we are grateful to every single one of them."

The magazine, which features interviews with jazz singer Clare Teal and eighties diva Hazell Dean among others, is packed with advice from couples who have been there and done it and tons of genuinely gay-friendly suppliers who really want to make your day.

If you would like to attend the launch, all you need to do is e-mail tickledpink@profilecommunication.com or call Sue and the team at 01606 888111 and they will send you an official invitation.
