TRIBUTE: Jersey Budd

LEVENSHULME’S M19 bar is to host the UK’s only Bob Dylan festival from August 28.

The three-day festival is one of only seven festivals entirely dedicated to Dylan’s music. Acts from all over the world will be playing the stages, though the closest to our Mancunian heritage will be Happy Monday’s guitarist Kav, as one of the headlining acts.  

Other top acts set to play include Estonia’s Bullfrog Brown and Jersey Budd, who have just finished touring with Kasabian.  

The festival, which is organised by Acousticfest, has carefully planned each evening around a theme.

The launch party on Friday kicks off with 'Irish night', whereas Saturday's events are based around the Blues; a major influence on Dylan's music. Sunday finishes the weekend with ‘Country night’, rounding off a variety of events that pays homage to the spirit of Dylan’s music, in all its forms.    

Tickets are only £4 adv per night, or £10 for the weekend. All tickets are available from M19 or its website.
