FOR solutions to banishing the summer holiday boredom, check out the Lowry Outlet Mall all through August. Best of all it’s free (and indoors).

Continuing their month of family-orientated festivities, head down to Magic Mayhem, running Aug 5-9, to partake in wizardly face painting, magic shows and Professor Dumbledore’s Puppet work magic.

Commencing on the 12th, On the Farm features more face painting fun and a chance for the little ones to have an anthropomorphic encounter with Peppa Pig.

Dino-Mania runs Aug 19-23, with Terry the T-Rex coming to the Mall on the Saturday, and finishing off the season is Mad About Robots – a chance to win prizes in a Make Your Own Transformer competition and witness Titan the Robot perform on Aug 29.
