WITH the city's (and some of the world’s) musical glitterati set to flock to the Bridgewater Hall to catch Elbow’s landmark union with the Halle Orchestra this week, there’s good news for fans who missed out on much sought after tickets to the double bill.

As the Bury indie veterans have just released extra tickets for their huge festive homecoming show at the M.E.N. Arena on September 18.

The date will cap a remarkable 12 months for the quintet who since bagging the prestigious Mercury Music Prize in 2008 have gone on to make room on the mantelpiece for a BRIT, two Ivor Novellos and a Mojo gong.

With a summer of stellar stadium support slots lined up (Coldplay, U2) plus a number of festival appearances, their Arena extravaganza should be a great way to bid farewell to the phenomenon that has been their fourth studio LP, The Seldom Seen Kid.
