Wines galore at Gaucho this week
ARGENTINIAN restaurant Gaucho located in Manchester’s city centre is showcasing an array of their famous Torrontes wines for Wine Week until Sunday.
Gaucho’s Wine buyer and director Phil Crozier will also be heading to Manchester on July 10-11 to host a Master Class on the wines and grape varieties featured during the event.
Wines featuring in Wine Week will be:
Michel Torino Torrontes 2008 - Typical floral notes of elderflower and lilies, mandarin and grapefruit peel and a touch of fresh grass, with a lovely fullness in the mouth and an extra bit of complexity from the Sauvignon Blanc.
Domingo Hermanos 2007 - This Torrontes has hints of honeysuckle, peaches and stone fruit on the nose, with ripe pears and marmalade in the mouth.
O Fournier ‘Urban’ Torrontes 2008 - With no use of oak, this wine has tonnes of Elderflower, pineapple, green apple and lychee, with a fresh mineral finish.
