Dancing In The Street – the return

Dancing in the Street Dancing in the Street

YOU may have been one of the 1,500 who joined in the Dancing in the Street at The Printworks.

Or perhaps you just heard about it. Either way, it’s come round again, and the competition promises five weeks of dancing to entertain, beginning this July.

Last year even Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson was so impressed that he came along, and asked the winners, ShockOut, to appear in his music videos and accompany him on tour.

Special dance floors

So it’s not only people who hear the music in the street and wonder what’s going on.

To accommodate the huge audience figures expected, this year the action is heading inside The Printworks’ four largest venues; with special dance floors, high-tech lighting and top-spec sound systems, they’ll all be transformed to create a superb venue.

Outside, the Pumpyard will be full of acts warming up, practising their routines. Sounds like the perfect way to entice people inside!

From July 25 heats will run for four weeks, with the Grand Final being held on August 22. The dance includes all from ballroom to disco, and even Breakdancing and body popping.
