Bonfire Night 2008: The lowdown
THE region's councils and social clubs should be pulling out all the stops to ensure the sky is a collage of light and colour for this year's Bonfire Night festivities.
Here are the fireworks displays still to take place:
MANCHESTER
Wednesday, November 5
Bonfire & Firework Spectacular - Spectacular fireworks display. Heaton Park. 7.30pm. Free. Call 0161 773 1085.
Wednesday, November 5
Bonfire & Firework Spectacular - Spectacular fireworks and bonfire display. Wythenshawe Park. 7.30pm. Free. Call 0161 998 2117.
SALFORD
Wednesday, November 5
Bonfire and firework spectacular - By Star Fireworks, winners of the British Firework Championships - Northern Heat. 6.30pm. The bonfire will be lit from 7pm and the fireworks will begin at 7.30pm. Buile Hill Park. Free.
STOCKPORT
Wednesday, November 5
Light In The Night Bonfire Blast - Heaton Norris Park, organised by Calvary Chapel. Contact 0161 443 2327 for further details or www.truehope.co.uk. Charges: £2.50 per person or £5 per family of 4 with additional children charged at 50p each.
Wednesday, November 5
Bonfire - Featuring fireworks display, children's rides and a BBQ. Hawk Green, Marple, organised by Hawk Green Residents Association. Free. 6pm.
TAMESIDE
Wednesday, November 5
Fair and Fireworks - Tameside Radio Roadshow lead the fun at Richmond Street Playing Fields, Ashton. 6pm. Free.
