Editors to bring Light to Academy

BACK IN PLAY: Editors

WITH their third LP now knocked into shape, fans eager to get to hear the fruits of their labours will be heartened to know Editors have pencilled in a comeback tour for this autumn.

More used to playing the ornate surrounds of Ardwick's Apollo, frontman and new father Tom Smith (aka Mr Edith Bowman) and the boys will play Academy 1 on October 16 as part of the jaunt.

The follow-up to Birmingham-formed four-piece's chart-topping second LP, An End Has A Start, is scheduled for release on October 12.

Entitled, In This Light And On This Evening, it has been recorded throughout 2009 with producer Flood assisted by Ben Hillier.
