Fun-packed weekend of park life

SHOULD you be eyeing up a possible new hobby to take up once the kids go back to school, then the Tatton Park Country Show could be the place to find it.

Not only will the kids get a great day out (and, with all that fresh air in their lungs, an early night, too), but the whole family will find something to get stuck into in the packed calendar of falconry, mounted games, ferret racing and dog shows.

For the gadget-minded dad, there's laser clay pigeon shooting, a driving championships and even a bit of chainsaw carving to be had, while for the crafty mum there's a haberdashery village, caricaturists and the British side saddle association in residence giving out tips.

Kids can try their hand at donkey riding, watch the puppet show or enjoy the fairground rides. And there's even Chase the Bunny and the Fun Scurry for the family pooch.

Now if that's not a recipe for three fun-packed days in the countryside, CityLife doesn't know what is.
