Oasis hotline set up for Heaton Park shows

Heaton Park will welcome Oasis from June 4

A SPECIAL community hotline has been set up for the Oasis homecoming gigs in Heaton Park next month.

The dedicated information line will be open for local Residents and businesses can to call if they have questions or concerns about the concerts on June 4, 6 and 7.

Manchester council has been working with promoters SJM Concerts for six months putting plans in place to ensure the gigs – which will bring tens of thousands of people to the park – pass off safely.

The hotline will be open available from 8am on June 4 and will stay open until 1am after each show.

Coun Mike Amesbury , Manchester’s member for culture and leisure, said: “It’s fantastic to have Oasis back on home turf, but we  and these concerts, set in such stunning surroundings, will no doubt be a wonderful occasion.

“We want to keep disruption to the community to a minimum.

“This dedicated information line and the carefully planned transport arrangements put in place will go some way towards doing this.”
