Brighton award win for Lady Garden

BLOSSOMING: Lady Garden

CONGRATULATIONS to all-female sketch troupe Lady Garden who have won an Argus Angel for Outstanding Contribution to the Festival following their four-date stint at the Brighton Festival Fringe.

The six strong group, consisting of members Hannah Dodd, Beattie Edmondson, Rose Johnson, Jessica Knappett, Eleanor Thom and Camille Ucan, formed for a show at the Edinburgh festival fringe last year while they were students at Manchester University.

Since then they have been impressing audiences and critics alike with their sharp writing and impeccable performance skills since they formed.

In addition, on Sunday they will travel to the London for the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2009 final.
