Get Side Tracked again at The Railway

WITH all the chi-chi wine bars and über hip hangouts currently dotted all over West Didsbury, it’s reassuring to know an old favourite is still going strong and delivering good old fashioned live entertainment on a regular basis.

The Railway has long been a drinking station to pull into for open mic nights, Northern Soul sessions plus the odd folk singer - the latest addition to their roster is the Side Tracked Comedy Club though.

Promoted by Grin & Bear It Comedy and orchestrated by local stand-up about town Phil Buckley, the night will return at the Lapwing Lane watering hole on September 24.

With CityLife Comedian of the Year finalist Ryan Gleeson (a man once dubbed 'the Bruce Lee' of comedy!) on MC duties, scene stalwart and multi-award winner Tony Burgess will headline with Scouser Phil James and Ben Davids also on the bill.

And at only £4 (£3 for students), it should be a comedy train worth boarding.

Side Tracked Comedy Club is at The Railway on Thursday, September 24. 8pm. £3, £4.
