Manchester Pride: who did YOU raise money for?

'SCUSE us, costumed party-goers, but Manchester Pride isn't all about having fun.  It's about Doing Good - oh, honest, it's about having fun and raising money for a good cause.

So aside from the fact that the Superman costume you've been working on day and night in preparation for this year's Heroes theme looks ruddy brilliant, it might also raise a community group some cash.

From the money raised each year, Manchester Pride awards deserving community groups with grants of up to £1,000.

Groups that received funding from last year's Manchester Pride include the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, the 40+ Gay and Bisexual Men's Group, Rainbow Families and Albert Kennedy Trust.
