Anti-homophobic bullying initiative returns to Manchester schools
KIDS, prepare to love thy neighbour - between February 23 and March 5, the award-winning Exceeding Expectations initiative returns to Manchester schools.
Exceeding Expectations is a multi-agency partnership dedicated to ending homophobia through education.
With some frightening statistics in mind - 65% of lesbian, gay and bisexual pupils in the UK have experienced homophobic bullying, and approximately 1 in 3 self-harm or attempt suicide - Exceeding Expectations aims to educate young people about the dangers of prejudice.
This year, Exceeding Expectations co-incides with LGBT History Month, which celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community.
