WEST Lancashire wetland centre Martin Mere is holding its very own eco festival on the weekend of February 28 and March 1, with seed planting, garden education, stalls and craft activities.

There will also be chance to build dens; feed the swans before they leave their winter home and return to Iceland; win a £50 voucher in the slow cycle competition, supported by Jack Parker cycles; and play an interactive centre-wide game.

Those who arrive by a method other than car (bus, train, bike, walk) will pay a discounted admission fee.
