Starsailor announce UK tour
INDIE rockers Starsailor have announced plans to tour the UK next year. The tour will coincide with the release of new album All The Plans and new single Tell Me It's Not Over.
The band follow in the footsteps of heavyweights such as Travis and the Stereophonics and after being heralded "the best new band in Britain" in 2001, the band never really climbed to the dizzying heights that they were expected to.
Now scheduled to play The Ritz, the venue is a step up from Jabezz Clegg, which the band played on their 2005 visit to Manchester. Yet the 1300 capacity Ritz is still far cry from the likes of the MEN Arena - that similar sounding Stereophonics are playing - but provides an opportunity for fans to see the band in a much more intimate setting.
The band’s acoustic sound is off-set by singer James Walsh's unique and charming vocals and an easy listening vibe.
Arguably a last chance saloon style scenario for the band providing them with one final chance to flourish, this tour may see Starsailor finally rise from the lower rungs of the indie rock ladder.
Starsailor will play The Ritz on March 27, 2009. For more details, visit the links on the right.
