Comic FX returns with Oldham fav

LET ME AT \'EM: Goodfellow LET ME AT 'EM: Goodfellow

THE Royal Exchange Theatre's Special FX - its free early evening foyer entertainment - is well underway and a host of stand-up acts will kickstart the weekend with a chuckle at Comic FX on October 2.

Oldham-born headliner Dominic Woodward is a national circuit regular and has performed live on BBC 2 and ITV.

Cheeky, sometimes grumpy, his sharp observational style never fails to charm his audience.

Nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the 2004 Northern Comedy Awards, he is also part of The Unbroadcastable Radio Show – the hugely popular monthly show at Manchester’s Comedy Store.

Support comes from 2005 North West Comedian Of The Year Andy Watson with a quick-fire set packed with hard-hitting one-liners and the bill is introduced by lug-eared compere John Goodfellow.

All the Comic FX gigs run from 6pm to 7pm. The night is free (no booking necessary) and takes place in the Great Hall in the theatre foyer. Cheap drinks are available from the Great Hall Bar from 5.30pm to 7pm and savings are available in the Craft Shop from 5.30pm to 7pm.
