Ting Tings set for Apollo

GO on admit it… you're struggle to dislodge the The Ting Tings' infectious brand of indie-pop from your head too.

So it's no wonder the Salford-based duo are set to follow two Academy 1 dates at the start of October by jumping up into the big league next February, with a date at the Apollo.

It's just 18 month since they first got record company bods scurrying up from London to check them out at the New Islington base.

And Sassy Wiganer Katie White's ice cool and biting delivery coupled with Jules de Martino's staccato grooves undoubtedly makes for an intoxicating cocktail.

Their chart-topping debut has already spawned the scintillating hits Great DJ, That's Not My Name and Shut Up And Let Me Go, now Be The One is also set to get a release to coincide with their autumn UK tour on October 13.

In other Ting Tings related news the band have been shortlisted in the Best Pop Artist category of the BT Digital Music Awards.

The two-piece will go head-to-head with Kylie and Alphabeat amongst others for the gong on October 1.
