Oasis LP to premiere on MySpace
OASIS are to premiere their new album Dig Out Your Soul in its entirety on MySpace.
Fans will be able to listen to the new record ahead of its release on Monday.
The “global exclusive” means people can listen to the album from midday tomorrow (Oct 1).
They should log onto http://music.myspace.com/ or www.myspace.com/oasis.
Coldplay and The Verve have previously allowed their fans to listen to their album on the site before its release.
Meanwhile, MTV Networks International announced the exclusive broadcast of a London date of Oasis’s sold-out UK Arena tour in support of their new album.
MTV1 will broadcast the Oasis show live-to-air in the UK and Ireland from London’s Wembley Arena on Thursday, October 16 at 9pm.
Richard Godfrey, senior vice president, music and production, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Oasis on the release of their new album and tour, this is a real moment in music with true rock n’ roll stars.
Inevitably
“This will inevitably be a show not to be missed and the MTV audience can experience the gig as it happens.”
As well as the conventional CD release, the seventh studio offering from the Burnage boys will also be available from Monday as a simple ten-track mp3 version for £5.
This will be accessible from a variety of online stores and the band’s site at www.oasisinet.com.
A spokesperson for the label said: "We want to give the fans more of a choice.
“If you just want to get the tracks you've heard on the radio and check out a bit more of the band's new music you can for a reasonable price."
Finally, fans who pre-order 'Dig Out Your Soul' from iTunes will also receive a bonus track in the form of the Liam written ‘I Believe In All’ on day of release, as well as ‘Falling Down’ at time of order.
Ahead of the release of the record you can read music critic Paul Taylor's in-depth verdict to the right.
