WINNERS: Take That WINNERS: Take That

TAKE That and The Ting Tings were amongst the winners at the Vodafone Live Music Awards.

The reformed boyband won triumphed in the Sony Ericsson Tour of The Year, while Salford indie-dance duo The Ting Tings were christened Xfm Live Breakthrough Act.

Elsewhere, Mark Ronson put his split with model girlfriend Daisy Lowe behind him to scoop an award for Best Live Male.

In other categories Primal Scream won Best Live Act, beating newer upstarts like the Kaiser Chiefs, 26 years after they formed.

They also won the gong for Outstanding Contribution to Live Music.

Kate Nash won the Live Female award, beating Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Estelle.

The Spice Girls were named Best Live Return, over Wigan comeback kings The Verve and Kings of Leon took Best International Live Act at the ceremony at the Carling Academy in Brixton.

The awards are voted for by a panel of music experts from a shortlist compiled by music fans.
