Elbow and Puppets to join forces?

GONGTASTIC: Elbow GONGTASTIC: Elbow

MERCURY Music Prize victors Elbow have revealed plans to write new material with The Last Shadow Puppets.

The two-piece may have lost out to the Bury band at Tuesday’s ceremony, but Alex Turner and Miles Kane will soon be in sweet harmony with Elbow’s frontman Guy Garvey and keyboardist Craig Potter.

Guy told a national newspaper: “There is something on the cards for me and Craig to work with Miles and Alex. They’re top blokes and you have to enjoy the creative process.”

Guy also said the follow-up to their award winning album, The Seldom Seen Kid, could see the light of day sooner than expected.

He added: “We normally leave it a bit between albums but we’re on a roll at the moment and have a lot of new material, which is a revelation for us."
