All Because Of Molly at The Lowry
According to Founding Director Gayle Hare, the award winning Organised Chaos Productions, established two years ago by a small band of Manchester-based dedicated actors, has a mission in mind.
“We’re trying to nurture fresh creative talent in the north west and provide young performers, directors and writers with a platform in which they can work on a professional scale – as well as offering full support in all production technicalities.
“We receive no funding but we are still passionate about presenting quality theatre.”
All Because Of Molly is a new piece of writing from actor turned playwright Paul Ferguson and directed by James Baker. In it, we follow Jaime and Casey through their unlikely relationship – from playground adversity, through the trials of teenage years and university separation, to adulthood and the dating game.
Gayle sums up the production, saying: “This provocative play, in which the actors play several roles, invites you to contemplate the essence of friendship and examine your own relationships.
“It contains a little frank language so it’s recommended for those over 15 but it went down well at a rehearsed reading in last year’s 24:7 Theatre Festival and our previous work has been seen at Studio Salford.”
You can also catch it when it goes on tour, calling in at Preston and Buxton.
All Because Of Molly will be at The Lowry Studio, Salford September 1-3, 8.30pm, £5-£10 (0843 208 6010, thelowry.com), then touring to The Continental, Preston September 8, 8pm, £7/£5 (01772 499 425, newcontinental.net), Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton September 17 and 18, 8pm, £6/£5 (0845 127 2190. buxtonoperahouse.org.uk).
