Huge line-up for 24:7 Festival

Various venues - July 21- 29

The plays and writers have just been announced for this year’s eighth 24: 7 Festival, running from July 21- 29 July.

They will include: The Crimson Retribution, by Steve Pearce; Flag, by Brian Marchbank; Future Shock, by Richard Stockwell; I Know Where The Dead Are Buried, by Matthew Dunster; Keep It Simple, by Dick Curran; No Place Like Home, by Rebekah Harrison; Peggy And The Spaceman, by Joyce Branagh; The Rainbow Connection, by Joanne Sherryden; The Shadow Of Your Hand, by Michael Stewart; Sherica, by Ian Winterton; Steerage, by Georgina Perry; Telling Lives, by Eric Northey; and True, by Emma Rydal.

24:7 is a festival of new theatre-making. There are some familiar names there, including Joyce Branagh, whose show is their ‘family friendly’ event.

“Many thanks to everyone who sent us a script this year,” says festival co-ordinators Kathryn Worthington and David Slack.

24:7 will run from July 21- 29 in city centre venues, including a return to the Midland Hotel and to New Century House, head office of sponsor The Co-operative.
