Interview: Bynatone

ManchesterOnline's Paul Cockerton spoke to synth duo Rachael and Alan about the Bynatone sound.

Their history…

We started gigging in May. We went to watch the great Fat Truckers at Club Suicide so we decided we'd better start doing some gigs.

Their sound…

We want to sound like the best games on a Commodore Amiga computer, like Captain Dynamo. We both like Add N To X and Aphex Twin as well.

Their live performance…

Everything is done live, there's no DATs, it's all straight from the synthesiser. It means it's quite spontaneous, we can do it as we feel. And we'd probably lose the DAT tapes, anyway.
