ManchesterOnline's Paul Cockerton talked to Stazi star Owen Rankin after their theatrical performance at Night and Day.

Their history…

We grew up together in Richterhofen in Germany. Everyone was into heavy metal and we wanted to do Northern Soul, so we got into a fight with some Hell's Angels. In the end we moved to Manchester to find like-minded souls.

The sound is different each gig. We have a bloke in swimming costume - he used to be Jeff's lover, now he just decides to get onstage at gigs.
