Trof's 'friends' night returns

Manchester's storming live literature night 'There's no point in not being friends with someone if you want to be friends with them', makes a return to Trof on Tuesday with a reading from local novelist and We Are Performance frontman Joe Stretch on the bill.
The event has been promoted from dingy basement to spacious upstairs music hall and also features readings from John McAuliffe, David Gaffney, Jenn Ashworth, Socrates Adams-Florou, Thomas Fletcher, Sally Cook, Nicholas Murgatroyd and plenty more.
Tao Lin
American poet and novelist Tao Lin is also lined up to make a virtual appearance via web link and Matthew Davis will be performing a 'comedy monologue'.
'There's no point in not being friends…' will be held in the upstairs music hall at the Deaf Institute, 135 Grovenor St, on Tuesday 23 September at 8pm. Entry is free.
