Single Review: Boy Crisis – Dressed To Digress (B-Unique Records)
CityLife Rating:
RIGHT from its title to its plippy ending, we just love everything about Boy Crisis.
Dressed To Digress (apart from being our new motto in life) is a fabulous electro ramble, a funky, pulsating, urgent slice of New York cool.
And hilariously camp: “Fresh to death and I’m dressed to digress/I’m just a tiger and I’m looking for a tigress,” drawls the deliciously named Victor Vasquez.
One part MGMT, one part New Order, and a third dollop of The Rapture; more than anything, though, Boy Crisis are probably what The Stokes might sound like if they knew how to work their electro side.
