Single Review: – Liam Finn: Better To Be (Warner)
CityLife Rating:
AFTER major success with his first single 'Second Chance' Liam Finn has brought us another pretty pop tune.
Finn's pained, straining vocals convey emotion and the guitars, simple but confident, let the voice shine through.
A strong rhythm and good range of vocal sounds (helped by great backing vocals) provides more depth.
From its acoustic inflected pop down to quieter parts of the song, it is all clean, clear and beautifully sung.
Overall, 'Better To Be' is a promising prospect for Liam Finn's upcoming UK tour dates.
Liam Finn will be playing dates in the UK from December 3.
