IT'S BEEN a marathon rehearsal schedule for Tony Hadley as he prepares to play a gig in Bolton in April. The former Spandau Ballet frontman's new band has had to "learn" 70 songs from Hadley's long career.

And it's all because the singer, who won TV reality show Reborn In The USA last year, wants to approach this tour in a different way.

Instead of having a set-list and playing the same tunes, Tony is going to let the audience choose the songs each night.

Requesting

My mole tells me: "When fans come to the gig, they will fill in a form requesting their favourite Tony Hadley/Spandau Ballet song. And the most popular choices will get played. Sounds great, but it's meant the band has had to learn more than 70 songs inside out and back to front for this tour."

Tony Hadley appears at Bolton's Albert Halls on Saturday, April 1. é17.50. Call 01204 334433.
