Bloc Party\'s Kele

GUITAR sensations Bloc Party are heading for Manchester in December after announcing their biggest British show tour to date.

The four-piece outfit, whose 2005 debut offering Silent Alarm was voted Album of the Year by the NME, will play Manchester Central (formerly G-Mex) on December 13.

The band have just completed a 20--date sell-out tour of Britain. The latest announcement follows a remarkable period for the London-based group. Success in America saw Silent Alarm hit No 12 in the US album chart, and 10,000 tickets for their New York show were sold out in a day.

Their second album, A Weekend In The City, hit No 2 in Britain in February.

Bloc Party will play Manchester Central on Thursday, December 13. The Cribs support. Tickets £18.50. Call the Box Office on 0870 060 1768 to book or click here .
