Oasis UK tour announced
OASIS' return to the spotlight moved up a gear after the band confirmed tour dates for this autumn.
Sadly though the Burnage boys will not be playing Manchester on their 18-date jaunt, instead plumping to make their debut at the new Liverpool Echo Arena (Oct 7/8).
The Gallaghers and Co, who last played here in 2005, will take to the road to promote seventh studio LP, Dig Out Your Soul, which hits the shops on October 6.
Former La's and Robbie Williams drummer Chris Sharrock will replace Zak Starkey behind the kit for the dates.
Abbey Road
Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios in St John's Wood, the LP will be preceded by the single, The Shock Of The Lightning, on September 29.
The track, which got its global radio debut today (August 15), will also feature a Chemical Brothers remix of album track, Falling Down.
It will be available on CD, seven-inch vinyl and download formats. Fans who download the single from Oasis' official website,
Oasisinet.com
, will be able to download the promo video too.
The veteran Brit-rockers' Manc fanbase will be hoping the band announce later dates in the city though, last time out they celebrated the release of Don't Believe The Truth with two sellout dates at the City Of Manchester Stadium.
Tickets for their UK tour, which also takes in Sheffield, Birmingham and London, are on sale now.
What do you think? Have your say.
