Kelly Clarkson loves Manchester
YOU know, if there’s one thing Mancunians love more than Manchester itself, it’s outsiders who love Manchester.
The last time CityLife caught up with Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson, she gushed in her enthusiastic Texan drawl, “God, I love Manchester! Manchester always comes out for us, it is one of my biggest audiences. That’s why we’re starting the tour there, Manchester will get it all going.”
For a minute, we thought the American Idol graduate might have been making the most of her media training.
So imagine how pleased we were this week to read she’s still banging on about Manchester being the best – and that she’s chosen to start her new UK tour here again.
“Manchester is one of my favourite places to play, for some reason they are really rad and go nuts – they are easily my best audience,” she told the a national newspaper
Ah, Kelly, what can we say? We aim to please.
