Kasabian to bring Asylum to in-store
BOASTING perhaps their biggest in-store coup since Take That brought pandemonium to Market Street after reforming in 2006, HMV will welcome Kasabian to the city on June 8.
The Leicester indie-dance rockers will release their third studio offering, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, on June 8 and to celebrate the release the quartet will return to their spiritual home (considering their musical allegiance to Oasis, the Happy Mondays et al) to perform live and sign copies of their new record on the day of release.
Led by firebrand frontman Tom Meighan, the record promises to take the band down more funky, futuristic and rhythmic avenues.
The appearance will come in the middle of a hectic few days for the four-piece, who are down to support Oasis at their humungous Heaton Park shows (June 4, 6-7) before returning for a headlining show in their own right at the end of June.
Kasabian will be at HMV Manchester on Market St on Monday, June 8 at 6.00pm. Fans can pick up free wristbands at HMV from 8am on the day of the show itself.
