THE Manchester Tourism Awards are back in 2009 and this year they want readers of CityLife / CityLife.co.uk / viewers of Channel M to vote for their favourite place in Manchester.

In no more than 50 words we want to hear where you like to visit. Whether it’s a local attraction to keep you entertained on a rainy day, or the place where you’re guaranteed good grub, you tell us why your chosen nightspot, restaurant, bar, comedy club, day out, music venue, theatre or gallery, is a favourite.

Past winners include Frog and Bucket, the Blue Badge Guides and the Craft & Design Centre.

The location with the most nominations, wins. So if it’s a favourite with your friends, get them to nominate too.

To enter all you have to do is click on the link to the right for the nomination form.

Nominations for the winning location are entered into a prize draw and you (and a friend) could be in with a chance of joining the nominees and winners at the glitzy event on Thursday, May 21 AND one night in a Manchester hotel. Closing date: May 1, 2009

Keep up to date on the winners from the Manchester Tourism Awards on Channel M Breakfast, CityLife Entertainment News, CityLife.co.uk, and the Manchester Evening News.

My all time favourite place is the art gallery on Mosley St. Whenever I am feeling a bit down it reminds me that beauty still exists in the hearts and minds of people.

First Choice offices in Salford, a huge part of the city for so long. Lets all go and give support and appreciation before they close for good.

Fairs, outdoor concerts, charity runs, fantastic hall, cafes, picnic spots, a farm, horse riding, ponies, highland cattle, and playgrounds. Whether summer sunshine or winter snow, walking the dog or feeding the ducks, Heaton Park is, irrespective of your age, top of any list of places to visit.
