ON December 4, Matt and Phred's jazz bar in the Northern Quarter will play host to a charity event that promises to bring a lot of Manchester creatives together.

The event, suitably entitled Music Loves Fashion, will feature a showcase of Mancunian designers' work, including pieces made from recycled materials by students at City College.

Also present will be up and coming Manchester bands including International One, who were recently asked to write a song for Nelson Mandela's birthday by Sir Desmond Tutu.

To top it off, French Connection have donated a range of clothes for auction and Creamfields DJ Krystow De Fier will finish the night with a set.

All proceeds will go to Build a School, who raise money to build schools in developing countries.

Music Loves Fashion is at Matt and Phred's on December 4 at 7:30. Tickets £5/£6.
