MAKE SOME NOISE: Badly Drawn Boy

FESTIVALS: mud, unpredictable weather, battling across a boggy field to catch all the bands on your must see list… there has to be another way.

Welcome to Creative Futures – a civilised, indoor festival where you can forget the inconvenience of doing battle with the elements and just enjoy the music, the networking and the central heating.

Held in Manchester Town Hall’s Great Hall and Reception Room, Creative Futures is a two-day live networking event for artists aged 25 and under and organised by the people behind Noise festival.

Big Active

Local sons Wayne Hemingway and Badly Drawn Boy will be putting in appearances, alongside Richard Billingham, Big Active, Warp Films and Zaha Hadid Architects and NOKI’s NHS fashion show.

Over 30 creative and media organisations will also attend, including MTV and BBC Radio.

There’ll be customised tents from Noise artists, plus four portfolio review areas and a seminar and workshop space. Mr Scruff will be keeping the cuppas coming at his tea tent.

The event is part of the Noise Dream Jobs scheme, which was launched by Chancellor Alistair Darling in June.

Previous alumni have gone on to work for international animation houses and directors, including Tim Burton.

Register to attend at NOISEfestival.com/CreativeFutures.
