Waterside date for Holmes' rock'n'roll rumours
SCRIPTWRITER to the stars and radio stalwart Jon Holmes will strike out on his own in Manchester in July.
Responsible for penning scripts for stars as diverse and Stephen Fry and Jon Culshaw, the BBC6 DJ will play the Waterside Centre on July 10.
A Sony Award-winning broadcaster, Holmes is the co-creator of Culshaw’s Dead Ringers impersonation show, and he’ll warm up for his Edinburgh Fringe run will a date as part of the Manchester Wordfest Festival.
Entitled Rock Star Babylon, Holmes will 'read from his book of outrageous rock’n’roll rumours and try not to get sued!'.
For example – ‘Why was Candle in the Wind for Diana a terrible mistake? Which rock star left an unspeakable gift inside a hotel room hairdryer? What's the story behind Ozzy Osbourne and the exploding mouse?’.
CityLife’s intrigued….
Jon Holmes is at the Waterside Arts Centre, Sale on Friday, July 10. 7.30pm. £8, £10.
