Gloomy? Down in the dumps? Manchester Comedy Festival needs YOU!
MANCHESTER Comedy Festival has steadily been racking up the awards for the 2008 design campaign consisting of unhappy looking Mancunians. This now means they can now boast to rival festivals of mirth that they are a serious, uber-award-winning festival not to be laughed at. Um…They like this.
They’ve decided to stick to the prize-winning acerbic wit of yesteryear, but this time, they’re getting you involved.
Step forward - Miserable Idol 2009. They’re after the most depressed looking individuals - be they human, dog, duck, MP or otherwise – and the most fed-up contenders will make it through to star in this year’s campaign. In the year of swine flu, general economic malaise and a certain Ronaldo departure - there’s sure to be more than a few contenders.
This is an opportunity to be immortalised in glum glory and a chance to shine (or be it shadow) as Mr or Mrs Miserable 2009.
