Carr to bring Rapier Wit to Apollo
AS reliable as death and taxes, but far more upbeat – one thing you can be virtually certain of come the autumn is joke meister Jimmy Carr dropping by with a brand new tour.
Following hot on the heels of Joke Technican, the 8 Out Of 10 Cats host and talking head mainstay will play three nights at the Apollo from October 23-25 on his Rapier Wit tour.
Expected to be part of the Manchester Comedy Festival 2009, Carr’s appetite for stand-up performance is something of a marvel.
Constantly on the road, but with an admirable policy of not repeating jokes once they’ve been immortalised on DVD, expect a whole raft of spiky, topical one-liners come October.
