BOOED off stage in Liverpool just three weeks ago, Steve Coogan must be glad to be back on home turf. Despite his decampment to the blue skies of LA, Coogan still commands a loyal audience in Manchester.moreDetails

Oh come on Rochford! Of course she was at the show! She quotes it, describes all the action. Honestly, what a lame piece of criticism... why did you even bother?
The Metro gave the same show two stars. Read the national reviews and they're just as lukewarm. Do you think there's some kind of conspiracy?
Perhaps you're happy with end of the pier stand-up and Benny Hill nurse sketches, but you have to accept that a lot of the people at these gigs weren't happy. Especially since it was penned by a writer from whom we have come to expect a lot more.

Steve Coogans performance in Manchester was very poor not very funny and not worth the 35 pounds to go see him .....
Not a patch on The Man Who Thinks He Is It.........................

I saw the show tonight. She was spot on. It was feeble. Not a patch on The Man Who Thinks He Is It.

I have read the review by Sarah Walters on Steve Coogans performance in Manchester last night and i must say I do not believe you were at the same show, it was a laugh a second and even the sketches to keep the audience entertained whilst Coogan got dressed were brilliant. You say peopl clapped for him 3 times at the end of the night because they wanted their money's worth, they got their money's worth from as soon as the lights were turned off and the show begun. From Carr to Saxondale every sketch had a laugh and even the part where he used Benny Hill in a chase with the nurse it got a lot laughs and he even said he knows it isn't funny but he likes it so it is staying, that makes it funnier.
Overall top night out Coogan is back.
Stay in next time you won't have to miss eastenders Sarah.
