Murkage mixtape up for grabs
THE Murkage Cartel have announced the launch of their new website with the release of their very first mixtape.
The hour-long explosion of dub, grime, UK funky and hip hop has been put together by the crew in celebration of the new MurkageCartel.com and features tracks and remixes from the likes of Deadmau5 and La Roux.
Speaking exclusively to CityLife, Murkage head honcho David Lewis said: “All 14 of us picked the tracks, as I really wanted the mix to give people a real window in to what we're like as a collective.
“We did 750 downloads in the first 24 hours just by putting the link out on Facebook; the feedback so far has been very positive and we appreciate that."
The mixtape release also coincides with the launch of a new blog, onto which the thoughts, mixes, pictures and favourite YouTube clips of the collective will be splurged. You can visit the blog by hitting the link on the right.
